2019 Pre NANOWRIMO Blog for THE KEY to Mnau

I'm going to dive into my second novel this November. I have a workable outline of where this story should go and I'm hoping I can stumble upon some vile acts for my major villain. I had to revise the ending of novel#1 "The Gravity Key", to make it more open-ended. My brother came up with a  wonderful and stunning idea for the original ending, (and I'm going to use that idea in the new book) but I found that it locked me into a storyline that I couldn't write.
The Gravity Key needed serious editing because my editor didn't do a great job and there were some terrible typos. So, I'm fixing them, doing a few minor changes and adding suggestions from the writing group I joined.

 My pre NANO checklist includes
  1. Find a writing buddy to make me accountable. To reach the goal of 50k words I'll need to average 2000 words a day if I want time off for Thanksgiving.
  2. Clean my desk space in the laundry room, and make the kids take their laundry elsewhere.
  3. Pretty the desk up and add a candle.
  4. Pre-plan the meals. Shop early for Thanksgiving.
  5. Think up five deranged and sick things for the villain to do. (ask Twitter friends)
    1. Thank you, Peter: A little troll that messes with the sun and causes the planet to overheat.
    2. Thank you Gray One: A couchie parasite that causes errogenous feelings.

 To be contiuned...

Stupid Mondays are Stupid...Mondays

I drank tea after 9 PM last night and couldn't get t sleep until 3 AM. Don't ask how I filled in the time...

Short Stories
I posted a short story over on WordPress () just as a sample of what will be in the collection "Stranger Than Fiction". For those who looked at "Foot Fetish", you might wonder if it is true or not. Well yes and no. My friend's ex-husband did dress in her clothes and wear her shoes to make out with other men. I made up the murder part just to dis him because he was such a jerk and lied to her repeatedly about what he was doing.

Novel
I'm asking my readers to hold me accountable for my science fiction novel's first draft due date deadline of August 7th 2015. ACT 1 is about 2/3 complete with 11,550 words so far. Act two is in detailed sketch form (This is what I call:  between outline and fully written chapters) with about 6100 words.

I don't write in chronological order, I write as the characters speak inside my head. Dialogue comes first, then I go back and flesh out each scene. Fortunately they are finding their voices and telling me their stories, finally. Yes it will be erotic but it will also be sci-fi, though I'm trying to keep this reined in. The average reader won't know what a barycenter is and just won't care about a space station's  3 km mooring tower...

Weight Loss
Weight is still hovering around 140 lbs, but it looks like muscle is building up, which is what I want. I loose weight from the top down; the face looks leaner, Noogleberry is protecting the rack and the abdomen is beginning to lean up a little.  My butt is still to big for my favorite dresses...

Yes I did start jogging, all the way to the corner... and back. I can't think of anything more boring than jogging except maybe watching the grass grow.
